Florida Cooperatives (Co-Ops) Website Law

Summary

At this time, Florida Cooperatives (a.k.a. Co-Ops) (governed under FS 719) are not required to have websites. However, legislation passed on March 6, 2024 has tasked the Florida Division of Business and Professional Regulation (D.B.P.R.) with studying the content requirements for FS 718 associations.

Even though Co-Ops are not required to have websites, there are still a few requirements for assocaitions that have websites, digital signage, or community channels. Every spring, CondoSites throughly studies legislation to make sure we are aware of changes to the laws so we can pass that information along to our communities to help keep them in compliance.

Since 2005, CondoSites has been providing websites to Florida associations. Our product is fully compatible with the old and new sections of the "Sunshine Law" (a.k.a. Florida's Homeowner Association Act), and we can help guide you through the process of making sure your new community website is fully compliant with the law.
